Little Orphan Ella
Ella Bella Update
Ella is home from her umbilical hernia surgery and is on her second day of recovery. She appears to be doing well thus far. She has been quieter than we had anticipated, which is a good thing! She is normally our resident wild child. She loves her pony friend who is here to be trained to drive. He will keep her company while she heals for the next 30 days. She’s not going to be happy about it. It will be nice once she can get out on pasture with the other mares and foals.
April Foaled
April foaled a black Icepick colt on Memorial Day, May 25, 2015 at 11:55 PM. Kaleigh has named him Hutch after her Great Grandfather, Durward “Hutch” Hutchings who was a veteran and POW of WWII.
Foaling season here is finished, but, breeding season is still continuing on. All of our mares, except for April for obvious reasons, are all bred back to Icepick for 2016. We are excited to have Ariel’s mother here and in foal for a February baby.
Kaleigh got her cast off yesterday and is excited to get back to dancing, riding and driving.
